Composite Paintings

From 1996 to 2002, the majority of my work took the form of compartmentalized paintings, first in the form of a constantly re-arrangeable grid, then evolving into a series of biomorphic forms. I thought of each component as a word or phrase in the service of a larger narrative, yet not static as the paintings were installed differently each time.
